Folders and grid

Opura Select works on the folder you already have. No copy, no catalogue.

Open a folderFrom a dialog, drag and drop into the window, a Finder double-click, the Dock or Terminal. Recent folders sit on the start screen.
Grid with row navigationArrow keys, Home/End, multi-select with Shift. Selection frame and ratings sit on the tile.
Watch the folderNew RAWs appear in the open grid. Selects and Rejects subfolders are skipped during the scan.
ResumeRatings and last position stay local; the next open continues at the last active photo.
FilterAll, Picks, Rejects, Soft, Unrated. Plus rating, flag, colour mark and date as filter fields.
SearchFilename and EXIF date range (From/To). Exact matches are highlighted.
ScenesGroups the grid by time gaps between shots. Next/previous scene from the keyboard.
Stack burstsSimilar photos in a series become a stack with a suggested keeper. A click expands the stack.
Keepers onlyAfter the active filter, shows only the suggestion with the highest sharpness value in each burst.
SortBy capture time, filename or rating, in either direction.

Rate

Each decision is one key. Each key can be reversed.

Pick, Reject, clear flagP, X, U. A second press clears the mark.
Stars 0–5Number keys, in the grid, loupe and compare view.
Colour labelsRed, yellow, green, blue, purple. Keys 6–9 and the floating bar.
Auto AdvanceMoves to the next photo after each rating. Toggle it with A.
Batch ratingA multi-selection in the grid is rated in one step and undone in one undo step.
Undo / RedoFor every culling decision, including after Auto Advance.
Culling progress“X of Y triaged” with Picks, Rejects and the remainder in the bar.

A good expression deserves a closer look. Use the loupe and comparison view to judge the details.

Loupe 1:1Full resolution only for the active photo, scrollable, with Z or the space bar.
Fokus-PeakingSharp edges in red on the photo. Sensitivity is adjustable. Default overlays can be chosen when opening.
Histogram with clippingHighlight and shadow clipping as a readout.
EXIF-InfoCamera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter, capture time, filename.
Sharpness estimateA heuristic value with confidence; marked as a hint, not a verdict. The threshold for “Soft” is adjustable.

The selection belongs to the photos, not to Opura Select.
